SecurChoice™ is a pre-need funeral funding program whereby licensed Pennsylvania funeral directors utilize a bank trust, with PNC Bank  as Trustee or an insurance policy issued by Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company, to fund pre-arranged funerals for families they serve. The SecurChoice Trust has been experiencing problems and delays in receiving mail in its prepaid envelopes. Many failed efforts have been made to rectify this situation. After lengthy discussion the decision to discontinue the use of prepaid envelopes and our postal permit has been made. SecurChoice will continue to receive mail in the prepaid envelopes your funeral home currently has in stock until July of 2025. In July of 2025 and after, mail sent in prepaid envelopes will no longer be received. Efforts are being made to integrate digital payments and applications in the near future.

The SecurChoice™ Pre-need programs are administered by Unichoice™ and they are endorsed by PFDA.  Member participation generates a considerable amount of non-dues revenue, which helps support the mission of both companies.
